27 Postgraduate Graduands
Today we celebrate with 27 students as they attend their graduation ceremony at Canterbury Cathedral. A mix of Master’s and PhD students these are people who are very much part of our School community and whom we will miss dearly. We are excited to be able to welcome the graduands and their family to join us for a Graduation Party in the Stirling Library at 3pm today, after which they will journey into the City for their ceremony commencing at 7pm. We hope all our graduands have a wonderful day celebrating this significant achievement and we wish you all the very best for the adventures that lay ahead.
Congratulations: Caroline Bennett
This week Caroline Bennett successfully defended her PhD thesis in her viva; passing with no corrections!!!! Caroline’s thesis, “To live amongst the dead: an ethnographic exploration of mass graves in Cambodia” was developed under the supervision of Dr Mike Poltorak and Professor Glenn Bowman. Caroline previously studied for her MA in Visual Anthropology within the School and will now be leaving us to pursue her exciting career as a lecturer in Cultural Anthropology at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Caroline is respected and valued by all in the School and will be hugely missed so we are particularly proud of her achievements this week.
