Calling anthropologists! If you have recently graduated and are looking for your first job, this is a great opportunity. Porchlight, a local charity working with the homeless, is looking for someone enthusiastic and energised to work with young people (16-25) who are vulnerable and at times challenging. The role involves hands-on work directly with homeless youth, including arranging and carrying out activities, some admin and support work.

It’s a great way to get your foot in the door to the voluntary sector and get front-line experience using your anthropology skills. See for more details.

PhD Studentship
The School, in collaboration with The Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Ecology in Bremen, are advertising a PhD Studentship in ‘Valuing Marine Ecosystem Services in Costa Rica’. The appointment will be based in Bremen, Germany working on a project which seeks to assess the sustainability of the fisheries in the Nicoya Gulf of Costa Rica, one of the largest and most overfished tropical estuaries in Central America. Find out more. CLOSING DATE: 30th June 2015
