Film Festival Acceptance
Mike Poltorak, Alyssa Lynes and Sonja Bruhlmann’s collaborative and crowdfunded anthropological documentary, ‘Five Ways In’, on the dance and movement form of contact improvisation has just been accepted at two film festivals.
The Contact Dance International Film Festival (CDIFF) in Toronto, Canada will show their film as part of an integrated film and dance event. The International Festival of Ethnographic Film (IFEF) in Sofia, Bulgaria chose their film as one of twenty five from a submission of more than eighty films. Both screenings will be in May. On their research website you can read third year student Jade Richard’s review of its contribution to a multisensorial anthropology, phenomenological anthropologist Professor Michael Jackson’s feedback and lots more about the research value of the documentary.
